Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your ChequeVault account and all associated data at any time - directly from inside the app.

How to delete your account

Account deletion is done entirely within the ChequeVault app. No need to contact support - you are in full control.

  1. Open the ChequeVault app on your iOS or Android device.
  2. Tap the Settings icon (bottom navigation bar).
  3. Scroll down to the Account section.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.

What data is deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days:

  • Your email address and display name
  • All cheque records you have created (issued and received)
  • Your app settings and preferences (country, currency, reminders, theme)
  • Your subscription entitlement record
  • Your Firebase Authentication account

What data is retained

After account deletion, we may retain the following for a limited period:

  • Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked to any individual - retained indefinitely for product improvement.
  • Transaction records held by Apple App Store or Google Play for billing and legal compliance purposes. ChequeVault does not control these records.

Can't access the app?

If you are unable to sign in to delete your account from within the app, you can request manual deletion by emailing us at privacy@chequevault.app from the email address associated with your account. We will complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm by email.

Cancel your subscription first

If you have an active Pro subscription, please cancel it through your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) settings before deleting your account. Deleting your ChequeVault account does not automatically cancel an active store subscription. Refunds for unused subscription periods are subject to the relevant app store's refund policy.
